Nate has been teaching yoga for 17 years now and he completed his 200 and 500-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings in Rishikesh, India. He is passionate about prioritizing deep, slow, and strong breathing while moving through a yoga flow mostly adapted from the Ashtanga tradition. Just like that breathing style, he aspires to lead classes through poses slowly and with the strength to go deep into stretches and strength to keep optimal breathing posture. He leads his classes without music and with nearly the same routine each time in order to maintain greater attention to breathing and the sound of the Ujjayi breath or ocean breath. He encourages students to move at a pace that is right for them. Nate's classes are strong and best suited for students who have been practicing for a while and have a good sense of their bodies abilities and can tune into the intensity of the class with their own awareness.
